Tailgate Mulchers’ line includes the leading straw blower in the landscape and rental market, the Straw Mulcher.

The TGM 18 Straw Mulcher is rated at 2-3 bales per minute and can handle both straw and hay, wet or dry. Beater flail chains pulverize the straw, rather than cut it with a knife, thus allowing the Straw Mulcher to handle heavier and damp materials without clogging.

The Triple-V belt drive eliminates vibration and coupling failure. Our fully rotational discharge cannon reduces the need for a flexible hose, however, up to 100’ of hose can be attached to the discharge for hard to reach areas.

The Straw Mulcher is available both as a skid unit to be loaded onto the bed of your truck, or trailer mounted. The trailer mounted model can easily be removed from the trailer for utmost versatility and mobility.

The TGM 35 Straw Mulcher is available with a 35 HP Air-Cooled Diesel engine w/ Engineered Air Cleaner or with a 35 HP Gasoline engine. Our Engineered Air Cleaner prevents any debris or chaff from accumulating and causing the engine to over heat, a common symptom of liquid cooled diesels. The TGM 35 is rated at 7 ton of straw per hour, is suitable for larger commercial and residential jobs and is also available skid or trailer mounted.

For hyrdoseeding applications, our Aqua Mulcher is designed as an easy to use machine capable of producing high quality results. Tailgate Mulchers sought to build a simple, no-frills machine that would allow the user to mix everything from basic seed and fertilizer mixtures to 100% wood and BFM (Bonded Fiber Matrix) mulch mixes used on serious erosion control projects.

The Aqua Mulcher is designed so anybody, from an inexperienced renter to a seasoned hydroseeding professional can pick up an Aqua Mulcher and begin hydroseeding work with little experience. Hydroseeding was developed to save time and money and the Aqua Mulcher accomplishes both with its user-friendly features.

The independently driven hydraulic paddle agitator and gear pump provide a full range of mixing speeds in forward and reverse directions, as well as variable speed pumping and spraying. Pumping pressure is not affected by the speed of the agitator due to independent tandem hydraulic pumps.

A positive displacement rotary gear pump is crucial for pumping thick mulch slurries. Gear pumps allow you to work with thick mulch slurries (100% wood mulch, Bonded Fiber Matrix, etc.) without pump cavitation as seen on centrifugal pumps. Our pumps are also upgraded with steel gears for durability, performance and longer life spans.
